You have weathered your interim hearing or final trial, only for the Family Court to hand down a decision which you think is wrong.
Some of the most common grounds for an appeal include errors in law or fact, procedural irregularities, or bias or misconduct by the judge or magistrate.
To begin the appeal process, you will need to file a Notice of Appeal with the Family Court within 28 days of the original decision. You will also need to formulate a written statement outlining the grounds for your appeal, as well as any supporting evidence or documentation.
Leach Legal has extensive experience in determining whether you have grounds to appeal and navigating the appeals process.
Our team of highly trained and qualified family lawyers are here to help you dealing with complex matters as appeals.
